Fantasy Replacements for Hunter Henry, Who was Bitten by the Injury Bug… Again

Hunter Henry just can't stay healthy. The tight end wire is scarce, but we have a couple of ideas to fill his void.

Welp. Hunter Henry will be sidelined once again with a tabia plateau fracture to his left knee, which the Chargers say will keep him out at least 4-6 weeks. The sound of the injury sounds much worse than what it is, as Henry will likely return for the fantasy season.

However, if you own the oft-injured tight end, you’re shit out of luck again. You likely grabbed Henry in the middle rounds behind the “Big Three TEs” expecting Henry to be on the receiving end of many Philip Rivers‘ touchdowns. Now, you’re scouring the waiver wire (the day after waiver day), in an attempt to replace or stream Henry’s slot in the lineup.

Here are some notable tight ends who are (somewhat) available: Darren Waller (65% Yahoo ownership), Greg Olsen (60%), Jimmy Graham (53%), Trey Burton (52%) and Jordan Reed (37%)/ Vernon Davis (8%).

Don’t count out the Chargers calling old reliable Antonio Gates to come out of the nursing home, too.
