Dede Westbrook Dominating Training Camp, Locked-In Fantasy WR1 for Revamped Jaguars

Finally with a serviceable quarterback, Dede Westbrook is set to make some legitimate fantasy noise this season.

Last season, Dede Westbrook led the Jaguars in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns.  He flashed his big play ability, despite being shackled by Blake Bortles. This season, Westbrook has a drastic improvement at the quarterback position in Nick Foles.  A perfect marriage of fantasy goodness is developing in Jacksonville.  With an improved coaching scheme after John DeFilippo was hired as the new offensive coordinator and improved surrounding talent, Westbrook is primed to explode.

Word from the Jacksonville training camp is that Westbrook has been a man amongst boys.  Westbrook has greatly improved his route running, so much so that “he has made a memorable play pretty much every practice,” according to Jags beat writer, John Oehser.  Foles loves to target the slot, and DeFilippo peppered Adam Thielen with targets out of the slot while in Minnesota.  The marriage of Foles and DeFilippo should help elevate the Jaguars offense to compliment its potent defense.  The biggest beneficiary of this schematic nirvana should be Westbrook.

With an 18.9% market share last season, Westbrook saw 101 targets and should be the favorite to receive a significant bump in targets.  Despite dealing with a groin injury, Westbrook is trending up and is an absolute steal at his 9.01 ADP. He’s currently our WR35 (+4 vs ECR).
