Amari Cooper’s Value Increases in Clear WR1 Role for Cowboys

Amari Cooper is fitting in with the Cowboys.

While his former team continues to implode from within, Amari Cooper’s new squad topped the defending champion Eagles 27-20 Sunday night. Cooper led the Cowboys in targets with 10, finishing the contest with 6 catches for 75 yards. His value has shot back up since being acquired by Dallas a few weeks ago and as the far-and-away top option in the Cowboys’ receiving corps, he represents a strong fantasy WR option for your stretch run.

Sunday night was Amari Cooper‘s 2nd game as a Cowboy, and he’s 2-for-2 leading the team in targets since being brought in for a 1st round pick. That consistency combined with Dallas’ lack of receiving weapons has Cooper’s stock skyrocketing each week as he becomes more familiar with the Cowboys’ offensive tendencies. His chemistry with QB Dak Prescott also seems to be coming along quite nicely, with Cooper telling reporters after the game that Prescott is resilient, which is a quality he finds important for a franchise quarterback.

“He never gets down on himself, never gets down on the team. He’s always believing that we can go out there and overcome any circumstance… That’s something I really admire.”

Cooper will look to continue his success with his new team in Atlanta on Sunday against a Falcons defense that’s allowed the 3rd-most fantasy points to opposing WRs in 2018.
