Fittingly, Halloween falls during Week 9 of the NFL season, where Fantasy Football Owners are about to tango with the devil and sink even deeper into Bye Week Hell than ever before. Ghouls and Goblins will be forced into lineups, as for the first time in 2018, six — yes SIX — teams will be on Bye. Studs from Bengals, Eagles, Colts, Giants, Cardinals and Jaguars will be off, as creatures crawl out from crevices and into lineups for many.
As such, making the right decisions is even more crucial. There’s no better place to start mapping out your Bye Week Emergency Plans than The Wolf’s Week 9 Fantasy Football Rankings.
If you have any specific lineup questions, please let me know. While rankings are helpful, many factors are at play that can cause a change. For example, you may be an underdog, and starting a “boom-or-bust” player is more appealing for your lineup versus a surefire 7 or 8 points.

Week 9 Updates
- Geronimo Allison is OUT, which gives Marquez Valdez-Scantling some huge appeal. This game profiles as a shootout, and Scantling has three straight of double-digit FPs. Flex him everywhere.
- Stefon Diggs is OUT. Adam Thielen already was our No.1 WR, so he had no where to rise… but should now see even more targets. Kyle Rudolph is now more usable as well.
- Rob Gronkowski and Sony Michel are both game-time decisions, with Michel seemingly more on the doubtful side, and Gronk a true toss-up. Considering the SNF status, back-up plans need to be secured. Jets TE Chris Herndon is only 13% owned, and makes an interesting flier if you don’t want to wait it out
