John Brown Explodes, Sets Career-Highs Against Leaky Saints Defense

One of our Penny Stocks has hit the jackpot.

John Brown is finally healthy *knocks on wood* and he is showing why he was listed as one of our preseason Penny Stocks. His blazing speed and dependable hands are perfect for the only thing Joe Flacco can do well — which is heave the rock downfield. In a juicy spot against the Saints, Brown was able to set career-highs in both receptions (7) and yardage (134). He caught all seven of his targets and even added a score. All-in-all, he was able to bounceback after two below-average fantasy days, when he racked up 23 fantasy points at home against the Saints.

Brown has revitalized his career after getting out of the desert. So far through seven games, Brown has been able to stay on the field and produce. He’s still boom-or-bust, but he’s more dependable than he was with the Cardinals. He’s up to 28 receptions, 558 yards and four touchdowns on 54 targets this season. As long as Flacco continues to pepper him with deep targets, he’s more than a serviceable WR3/Flex option against the right matchup. With Michael Crabtree garnering CB1 coverage, Brown is a fantasy goldmine against the slower and less talented CB2s. This Penny Stock has paid off in a big way.
