Week 6 is here, and fantasy managers are already feeling the roster crunch. With bye weeks here and a string of injuries across the league, your roster depth is getting tested. That makes your last bench spot more important than ever, and this week it’s all about high-upside, opportunity-driven players who could turn a handful of touches into a fantasy payday. Stashing (and streaming) the right players now could be the difference between a win and a long, painful scroll through your league’s standings.
A rising star like Jalen Coker coming off IR and Christian Watson nearing a return offer significant upside in the passing game. On the ground, rookie back Jaydon Blue in Dallas and Isaiah Davis in New York are positioned for expanded roles thanks to injuries ahead of them on the depth chart. Tight end AJ Barner continues to produce in Seattle, while 49ers QB Mac Jones could provide stability while Brock Purdy recovers.
If you’re hunting for last-minute Fantasy Football Week 6 stashes, these players are exactly the kind of high-upside, opportunity-filled bench pieces worth taking a chance on.
FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 6 STASHES
RUNNING BACK STASHES
JAYDON BLUE, DALLAS COWBOYS (15% ROSTERED)
I can’t quit you, Blue! Cowboys rookie Jaydon Blue is getting a bump up the depth chart after Dallas lost Miles Sanders (knee/ankle) for the season, and fantasy managers looking for a late stash might want to take notice. Blue will now slot in as the No. 2 running back behind Javonte Williams, who’s been handling true workhorse duties since arriving in Dallas.
The Texas product only saw four carries for seven yards in his NFL debut last week, but don’t let the box score fool you because this kid has juice. He was one of our preseason favorites at RSJ, with The Wolf famously dubbing him “Jahmyr Gibbs Lite” for his blend of burst, pass-catching skill, and home run potential.

Rookie RB Jaydon Blue is now officially Dallas’ No. 2 back.
Stephen Jones: “We’re so fired up about what Jaydon Blue can do for this offense.”
While Williams will continue to dominate touches, we’ve seen how quickly that can change in the NFL. All it takes is one tweak or one blowout game for Blue to get meaningful touches, and his skill set makes him the type of back who could pop the moment he gets a real opportunity. He’s exactly the kind of upside stash you make before everyone else catches on. If you’re scraping the bottom of the waiver wire for a little lightning in a bottle, Blue might just be your guy heading into Week 6.
ISAIAH DAVIS, NY JETS (5% ROSTERED)
With Braelon Allen sidelined for the next two months, Isaiah Davis has stepped into the Jets’ No. 2 running back role, and fantasy managers should take note.
The second-year back out of South Dakota State logged a season-high 32 offensive snaps in Week 5, turning four touches into 33 total yards against the Cowboys. He’s already proven he can contribute in both phases, catching three of four targets for 28 yards while spelling Breece Hall. It’s not flashy production yet, but opportunity is quietly growing for the fifth-round pick who dominated in college as a dual-threat workhorse.

Here’s where things get spicy: the Jets are 0-5, trade rumors are swirling, and Breece Hall is in the final year of his rookie deal, making him a prime trade candidate if the team starts looking toward 2026. Should Hall get moved, Davis would instantly vault into a much larger role as the likely every-down back in New York. Even if that doesn’t happen, his passing-down usage gives him sneaky fantasy value in the short term. If you’ve got a bench spot to burn, Davis is exactly the kind of stash worth grabbing before the rest of your league catches on.
OTHER RBs TO STASH: Kendre Miller (34%), Kimani Vidal (27%), Tyjae Spears (24%), Blake Corum (14%), Brashard Smith (10%), Sean Tucker (7%), Kyle Monangai (5%)
WIDE RECEIVER STASHES
CHRISTIAN WATSON, GREEN BAY PACKERS (8% ROSTERED)
Christian Watson won’t suit up in Week 6 against the Bengals, but he’s still worth a stash for fantasy managers looking ahead. HC Matt LaFleur said Watson looked “pretty damn good” in practice, but the team opted to give him another week before returning to game action. That suggests he’s close to full health and could be back in Week 7. In the meantime, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks will handle the bulk of the receiving work in what’s still a favorable matchup against a beatable Cincinnati secondary.
Christian Watson breakout incoming. Hard to think of a player who’s caught more bad breaks.

He’s the stick of dynamite who can take the Packers offense to a new level. Insane that he’s already back. pic.twitter.com/kWNIkygBB3
Watson’s upside remains intact once he’s back on the field. He’s a big-play threat with touchdown potential every time he touches the ball, and Green Bay’s offense could use a spark. If he’s available in your league, now’s the time to stash him before he’s active and back in fantasy lineups. He’s a strong WR3/flex candidate with room to grow as the season progresses.
JALEN COKER, CAROLINA PANTHERS (10% ROSTERED)
COKE HEADS, stand up! Jalen Coker has been on IR since the preseason due to a quad injury, but returned to practice this week and was a full participant on Wednesday. He’s listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against Dallas and will be a game-time decision, though he appears likely to suit up if he can convince head coach Dave Canales he’s ready for a full workload. If activated before Saturday’s deadline, Coker should immediately step into a top-three role in a struggling Panthers receiving corps that’s gotten little from Xavier Legette and Hunter Renfrow.

Coker’s return could be a spark for Carolina’s passing game, which has leaned heavily on Tetairoa McMillan. A favorite of WR guru Matt Harmon, Coker flashed in limited action as a rookie, and if you exclude his first game (just 10% snap share), he was on pace for over 800 yards in 2024. Now healthy and ready to operate out of the slot, he’s a sneaky stash with WR3/flex upside in deeper formats. If you’ve got room on your bench, he’s worth the add before Sunday’s kickoff.
OTHER WR TO STASH: Malik Washington (18%), Jayden Higgins (13%), Luther Burden III (10%), Tory Horton (7%), Isaiah Bond (5%), Tez Johnson (0%)
TIGHT END STASHES
AJ BARNER, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (10% ROSTERED)
Seahawks tight end AJ Barner is turning heads with a hot streak that shows no signs of slowing. Sunday’s 38-35 loss to the Buccaneers featured a career game for the second-year stud, as he hauled in all seven of his targets for 53 yards and two touchdowns. That outing alone nearly doubled his season totals, boosting him to 14 catches for 134 yards and four scores through five starts. Barner has quietly posted three TE1 finishes already this season and currently ranks TE15 in fantasy points per game, proving he’s more than just a touchdown merchant.
don't look now, but AJ Barner is TE11 in ppg

(and TE6 overall right now)
Up to four touchdowns in five games after his 7 – 53 – 2 TD Week 5
So dependable as a blocker in Seattle's scheme, which opens up pass game opportunities. Especially in the redzone. https://t.co/pGs0opMK8V pic.twitter.com/ZpVb6QvojM
Barner has also been a reliable target with five red-zone looks and four touchdowns on the season, clearly outpacing rookie Elijah Arroyo in the Seahawks’ passing game. With his usage surging and production climbing, Barner is quickly becoming a must-watch tight end for fantasy managers. If you’re looking for a week-to-week streamer or a sleeper TE option heading into Week 6 against the Jaguars, Barner’s hot hand and red-zone role make him an intriguing play with the potential for another big outing.
OTHER TEs TO STASH: Taysom Hill (9%), Isaiah Likely (8%), Michael Mayer (1%)
QUARTERBACK STASHES
MAC JONES, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
Mac Jones is going through a career resurgence under Kyle Shanahan. With Brock Purdy (toe) ruled out for yet another week, Jones is back under center and has shown he can be productive even while banged up, finishing as a QB1 in two of his three starts this season. Sure, Shanahan’s offense can be a bit of a magician’s act, but at the end of the day, fantasy managers only care about points, and Jones has delivered.
Wild but true: Mac Jones is averaging 301.7 passing yards per game, which currently leads the NFL.

QB1? 👀 pic.twitter.com/8sVoZKRueV
The matchup against Tampa Bay is appealing for those who want to add Jones this week. The Bucs have allowed the 13th-most passing yards per game and the sixth-most passing touchdowns. Jones may not be a season-long starter in fantasy, but as the 49ers’ receiving corps gradually returns, highlighted by Ricky Pearsall, Jauan Jennings, George Kittle, and eventually Brandon Aiyuk, the upside is massive. If you need a short-term QB play, Jones could easily put up QB1-level numbers.
OTHER QB TO STASH: Joe Flacco (6%), Spencer Rattler (6%), Shedeur Sanders (2%)
