4 Best Fantasy Football Rebound Players 2025

Fantasy Football is a game of some skill and a lot of luck. It can become frustrating and sickening when you are in those competitive leagues with your friends and colleagues, only to be bringing up the rear of the results table. Whether it’s the pride you lose or the money you have gambled, not getting those all-important players from the players you backed at the start of the season can become increasingly jarring.

It doesn’t matter if your real-life football team or your fantasy football team is underperforming; the season can truly drag on and feel like an eternity. Unlike the quick withdrawal and fast transactions you can get from crypto sports betting sites, where winnings will be deposited rapidly, engaging in a fantasy football league can take months to pay off.

Players in your team may not be scoring or performing how you would like them to because of a variety of different reasons. It could be an injury, it could be another player in the team dropping off, or it could be down to a combination of factors. And if you are in this fantasy football game for a while, then you will have some seasons where things just don’t go your way. But fear not, we have compiled a list of the 5 best fantasy football rebound players for 2025 after their less-than-impressive displays in 2024.

1. Tyreek Hill

Following an illustrious career to date with both the Chiefs and the Dolphins, Hill had a ‘bad’ year last year. He suffered a wrist injury whilst his quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, sustained a concussion, which saw the performance of Hill drop.

Whilst he still returned 959 receiving yards and six touchdowns, he did not quite get to the heights that he was performing at during his first couple of years in Miami. In 2022 and 2023 combined, the wide receiver had 119 receptions, cleared 1700 yards in both campaigns, and scored a whopping 21 touchdowns across the two seasons.

His drop in form wasn’t exactly to be expected last year, but one thing that we can expect is that now that he is back to his full fitness, he is likely to get back to his great performing ways. If Hill can find his groove, he is a must-have in any fantasy football team. Whilst he isn’t a huge risk and will likely garner considerable returns, the rewards that Hill can offer should not be missed. He could well end up at the best-at-the-position levels.

2. Christian McCaffrey

A season of injuries hampered the shining light of McCaffrey in 2024. Achilles tendonitis and then a knee PCL in week 13 over the 2024/25 campaign saw him sidelined for vast majorities of the season, where he only managed to play four games. This was his fewest games in a season since 2020. His lack of presence on the pitch meant he logged career-low numbers.

However, there are reports from the 49ers’ preseason training camp that he is back to his usual self. He seems to be playing freely again, with no injuries tying him down and players who can bring out the best in him behind him. Should things continue to go positively for McCaffrey, we could see him return to his previous career highs of more than 2500 rushing yards and 22 touchdowns over the ‘22 and ‘23 seasons. A welcome rebound addition to any fantasy team.

3. Dak Prescott

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback had a derailing moment in his career during the 2024 season. He didn’t look like himself at the beginning of last season and then went on to tear his hamstring, which completely threw him.

Prescott is a bit of a yo-yo, however, when it comes to his performances. Over the years, he seems to continually have one bad season and then return to form the next. His drab 2024 season was off the back of a 4516-yard and 36 touchdown to 9 interception season in 2023. Before that, he marked a 2022 season where an injury had sidelined him after a 2021 season where he threw for 4449 yards with 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

If this pattern is anything to go by, Prescott may well find form again alongside his new receiving tandem of Pickens and Lamb, who may make for a formidable force in the coming season.

4. Evan Engram

Engram had a breakout season in 2023, where many backed him in fantasy football. They were handsomely rewarded with his 114 catches, 963-yard return for that season. However, things dipped last year. He only played 9 times and was cut by Jacksonville midseason.

Engram has found a new home since then. Sean Payton has scooped him up at the Broncos and is known for his historic work getting the best out of tight ends. This could spell a match made in heaven for Engram.

Engram’s teammate, Courtland Sutton, is the only consistent receiving option for the Broncos as they go into the upcoming season, which means Engram is bound to be the second choice. A chance at more game time means more time to shine for Engram, who could see his numbers surpass those of his great 2023 season. He could well be a late pick that explodes for your fantasy team.
