TRAVIS HUNTER LISTED AS STARTING WR, EYEING 80% OF OFFENSIVE SNAPS

Travis Hunter has officially been listed as a starting wide receiver on the Jaguars’ unofficial depth chart, and it’s more than just ceremonial. Head coach Liam Coen told The Rich Eisen Show that the plan is to get the No. 2 overall pick on the field for 80% of offensive snaps.
Based on last year, that math puts him at roughly 56 plays per game at WR, in an offense helmed by Trevor Lawrence and lined with explosive weapons like Brian Thomas Jr. While his defensive role isn’t going away completely, it sounds like the Jags are prioritizing Hunter’s dynamic skill set on the offensive side, and fantasy managers should take note.
In his final college season at Colorado, Hunter averaged an absurd 111 snaps per game, dominating on both sides of the ball en route to winning the 2024 Heisman Trophy. Now, in the pros, he’s still expected to play some cornerback, but it wouldn’t be shocking if the Jags manage those reps carefully, especially early in the season. But with his current usage trending toward WR1 volume and reports suggesting he’ll run with the first-team offense Saturday against the Steelers, Hunter looks locked into a key role.
In fantasy, opportunity is king, and Hunter’s is as rare as it is exciting. He’s drawing targets from a top-12 QB, playing opposite an elite vertical threat, and may also sprinkle in some defensive stats depending on your league settings.
The Wolf has Hunter ranked as WR26, which is seven spots higher than the expert consensus ranking (ECR).
BEARS ROOKIE RB KYLE MONANGAI EARNING TRUST
Seventh-round rookie Kyle Monangai is turning heads in Bears camp, and he’s doing more than just earning reps.
According to head coach Ben Johnson, Monangai is “a guy that we’re going to be able to trust this fall,” a rare bit of early praise from a coach not known for handing out compliments. Trust is key in this backfield, and Monangai seems to be quickly climbing the ladder, pushing Roschon Johnson for the No. 2 job behind D’Andre Swift.
Kyle Monangai could score 10+ TDs in 2025

Pulling ahead for Ben Johnson's "big back" role that yielded 17, 13, & 12 TDs the past 3 seasons
BJ: “I’m very pleased…I think he’s a guy we’re gonna be able to trust this fall.”
Last 2 years, avg'ed 260-1347 YFS-11 TDs vs. Big 10
While Swift is still penciled in as the starter, he hasn’t exactly lit it up since arriving in Chicago. And while Roschon has shown flashes around the goal line, he hasn’t seized control of the role either. That opens the door for Monangai, a compact, physical runner out of Rutgers, to carve out a bigger slice of the pie than expected. He entered camp as the likely RB3, but his strong performance and growing role in the offense are hinting at something more.
Monangai may not be fantasy-relevant just yet, but he’s clearly someone to monitor in deeper leagues and in Best Ball, especially if Swift stumbles or if Roschon can’t hold him off. In a Ben Johnson-led offense that should offer plenty of scoring chances, Monangai could be one injury (or hot hand) away from becoming a surprise contributor in 2025. Keep him firmly on your watch list.
