2025 NFL TRAINING CAMP NEWS (7/30)
ANTHONY RICHARDSON TAKES THE LEAD OVER DANNY DIMES
Anthony Richardson is heating up in Colts camp, and he’s starting to pull ahead of Daniel Jones in the QB battle. After a rough start, Richardson has looked sharper in recent padded practices, and The Athletic’s Zak Keefer even noted “improved accuracy” from the third-year QB. That’s huge news considering he was expected to miss time with a shoulder issue and only 58 percent of his throws last season were considered accurate, per PFR.
Now fully cleared and trending up, Richardson looks like the favorite to be Indy’s Week 1 starter.
“I feel like I got more control over the ball now,” Richardson said

If he wins the job, Richardson immediately becomes a fantasy QB1 thanks to his elite rushing upside. He’s a true cheat code on the ground with 50+ rushing yards and red-zone TD potential every week.
But while that’s great for fantasy managers who draft him, it’s not ideal for his pass-catchers. Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs, and Tyler Warren all take a hit if Richardson is under center, since the Colts are likely to be more run-heavy and less consistent through the air. You’re betting on Richardson’s legs, not his arm, and that’s what makes him such a wild but tempting pick in 2025 fantasy football and best ball drafts.
CEEDEE LAMB FEASTING IN SINGLE COVERAGE ACROSS FROM PICKENS
CeeDee Lamb is already one of the most dominant receivers in fantasy football, but the addition of George Pickens might somehow make him even better.

Pickens’ downfield speed and ability to stretch the defense have opened things up underneath, and Lamb has reportedly seen a noticeable increase in single coverage during camp. That’s a scary thought for opposing defenses and a thrilling one for fantasy managers. Lamb currently sits as our WR3 (No. 6 overall) behind Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson, but with the way this Cowboys offense is evolving, he’s got the upside to finish as the WR1 in 2025.
The Lamb–Dak Prescott connection already looks dialed in, especially in red zone drills, where they’ve been lighting it up. Dallas is also getting creative, using Lamb in motion and even in the backfield to keep defenses guessing. Whether it’s a jet sweep or working the sideline, Lamb’s role is only expanding.
As he put it himself, “When two guys are on me, [Pickens] is one-on-one. Do what you want with that info.” We’ll take that as a green light—CeeDee Lamb is about to eat.
