If you would like to take a look at what my Trade Value Charts were as of last year at this time, the link can be found HERE. Last year, I had Zamir White and Marshawn Lloyd as buys. Let’s be honest, these weren’t great calls. I think Marshawn Lloyd still has the potential to pan out in the long run, but Zamir White certainly was a miss.
I had Travis Etienne, Kenneth Walker, Kyren Williams, and Rachaad White as sells last year. I think for Etienne, Walker, and White, you’d have been pleased with the return that you got at this time last year. Williams still had a solid season, even though it feels like that backfield could be anyone’s at the drop of a hat.

Some of the big movers from last year’s charts are Christian McCaffrey, Bucky Irving, and Chase Brown. McCaffrey’s fall is easy to understand – he’s aging and dealing with injuries. I’m not sure if he can return to being the same player he was two or three years ago. If you think he can, consider that a buy. I just got him in the mid/end of the 5th round in a startup draft as the 15th running back off the board, and I was pretty pleased with that. If he can get back to anything close to what he once was, it’ll be a fun ride.
Bucky Irving is such an interesting player. I am one of the few people who are not on the Bucky Irving train. I don’t see the value lasting here, which is why I have him as a sell. And many people will buy him for a 1st+, which I think is a phenomenal deal at this point. I know people will disagree with me on this one, and that’s fine. However, as I mentioned earlier, I was someone who saw the fall of Travis Etienne and Rachaad White coming last year and listed them as sell candidates. Why would there be any difference in Bucky Irving? Rachaad White was a third-round pick in 2022, and the Bucs tossed him aside like Andy did with Woody when they just got a new Buzz Lightyear toy in Bucky Irving (in the 4th round, by the way). The investment that teams make into these players can give you a tell of how they may plan to utilize them in the future.
This leads me to Chase Brown. A fifth-round pick in 2024, like I said before, the Bengals aren’t too invested in him, even though he has given them some good production. It’s just not something I’m willing to play with, which is why he is also a sell.
I have already discussed my sells, as they are among the biggest movers from last year. As for the buys, I have RJ Harvey, D’Andre Swift, and Aaron Jones. Aaron Jones is simply a buy if you are a contender. The Vikings have stated that they want to use Jordan Mason, who they acquired this offseason, in short-yardage and goal-line situations, but that just means Aaron Jones will get a lot of work in the passing game, where he thrives anyway. It’s an easy buy for me for a small price to pay.
D’Andre Swift is a player who faces limited competition in Chicago. There’s Roschon Johnson and rookie Kyle Monangai, neither of whom poses a real threat to Swift’s usage. I’ve really liked Swift for his whole career and thought that he was mishandled in Detroit. He had decent seasons but could’ve finished higher. He then goes to Philly (Go Birds, btw) and has a pretty good season. And again, another quiet season in Chicago. With Ben Johnson taking over in Chicago now, he should have Swift play the Gibbs role and get him involved a lot. I’m excited for him in 2025.

And lastly, probably the hardest player to judge right now is RJ Harvey. He’s a buy at the value listed, and I wouldn’t pay any more for him, but I don’t think many people will sell him just because he is in the Sean Payton system and is a fresh new rookie. Some people will be willing to pay more for him, but it might take some effort.
