Welcome to The Wolf's 2025 Best Ball Fantasy Football Rankings and Top 200 Fantasy Big Board! Specifically, these rankings are designed around Underdog's Best Ball Tournaments, with the current main attraction the $2,000,000 Pre-Draft Big Board!

Best Ball has become my favorite way to play fantasy. That's because all that matters is everyone's favorite part: the draft. And... because of the huge, life-changing prize pools.

The general basic premise: you draft a team, and the computer automatically calculates your highest-scoring lineup each week. By the end of the season, the team with the highest total points wins (or advances into another round of a tournament).

That means no in-season roster moves or adjustments. No Sit/Start dilemmas. No Waiver Wire pickups. Your sole focus is drafting the best team that will last over the course of a full season.

"But Wolf, can't I just use your 2025 Redraft Fantasy Football Rankings and Big Board? And dominate like I normally do on Yahoo or ESPN?"

Not quite. Although the positional rankings are largely the same, the Overall 2025 Best Ball Big Board is quite a bit different. That's because of two main differences:

1) The Market - WRs & QBs Bumped Up (but not as much as in 2024): On Underdog, WRs & QBs FLY off the board. This makes sense: true 25-30+ point eruptions most often come from the early-round elite WRs. Given this, you'll notice the big bump I gave pass-catchers. Also, an elite QB can provide a huge weekly edge, so I am much more willing to use an early pick at the position in Best Ball vs. Redraft.

This has changed somewhat in 2025 after the massive RB Resurgence last year, but WRs still go fast. Nonetheless, the elite RBs have re-gained some massive upside, and the pool is deeper than compared to the past.

2) Volatility = Easier to Stomach (in fact, it's preferred!): While I like steady, week-to-week consistency in redraft, volatile players "boom-bust" come with far less risk in Best Ball. Guys like Xavier Worthy, George Kittle, Rashid Shaheed, Marvin Mims and even Taysom Hill (if he's healthy) can be phenomenal assets -- as they won't be in your lineup for the low-floor outings, but will give your team significant point boosts when they smash. Consistent performers still are important, but big "splash" worthy players (especially for later round picks) have significantly more value in Best Ball.

3) Correlation & Roster Construction: We will cover strategy much more in-depth in our Best Ball Articles, but rankings can only get you so far. Correlating your roster through stacking and Week 17 Optimization (2025 updates coming soon) are two crucial steps, and your overall roster construction should eventually take precedence to specific player takes, rankings, and feelings. Rankings and drafting should be much more fluid based on your early picks and the teams you plan to build around.

In sum, my positional rankings are largely similar, but my Overall Top-200 Big Board changes greatly. Additionally, volatile "splash" players get a slight bump up as well.

Scoring: Underdog is Half-PPR with a starting lineup of 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 Flex, 1 TE (no D/ST or K). I rank with those scoring settings in mind. DraftKings' Full-PPR Best Ball games also fit these WR-heavy rankings, too.
