Holy shit, David Johnson sucks. The 2019 first round lock — and top five pick for some — has gone from a pretty solid PPR option earlier in the season, to an absolute abortion over the past few weeks. Since his 25 pt outburst in Week 6, Johnson has accumulated a total of -0.30 fantasy points. Nope, that is not a typo. Yes, DJ missed some time due to injury, but he has been in the lineup over the last two weeks, resulting in a wild -.50 pt outing vs the Bucs and most recently a goose egg in Week 11 against the 49ers.
Even though Kenyan Drake racked up 26 fantasy points in his Cardinals’ debut a few weeks ago, most thought it would develop into a gross RBBC (except for The Wolf, who called Drake a “fantasy starter here on out” right away).
Not so fast, my friends.
Drake has completely moved ahead of DJ on the depth chart and took all 22 touches out of the backfield in Week 11, while poor DJ looked on from the sidelines. Drake also out-snapped Johnson 61-to-9. All DJ could tweet after the game was “Welp…”

At this point, we wouldn’t blame you if you gave your first rounder a massive ‘hate cut.’ But if you’re still holding out hope on the pathetic running back, you might need to see a fantasy psychiatrist.
