Deebo Samuel is slightly above under our 50 percent threshold to be truly be considered a Penny Stock. But at 56 percent owned, he could be available on your Week 12 Waiver Wire. After dominating back-to-back weeks with Emmanuel Sanders banged up, it looks like Jimmy Garoppolo trusts his rookie wideout to make plays on the perimeter. Deebo followed up his dominant Week 10 performance with another 134 yards on eight receptions. That’s 246 yards on 16 receptions over the last two weeks.
Deebo will get the vulnerable Packers secondary next week, followed by the Ravens’ Saints, Falcons, and Rams. Not too shabby for a player who’s turning into a target hog for one of the league’s best teams. If Sanders continues to play through and re-aggravate this mysterious rib issue, Samuel has low-end WR2 upside with a solid WR3/Flex floor.
With the waiver wire being pretty barren at the wideout spot over the last few weeks, hopefully you either stashed Deebo, or you’re ready to blow the FAAB on him this week. It’ll be worth it.
