Beastly Bo Scarbrough Gets a Shot as Lions Fantasy RB1, Week 12 Waiver Wire Coin Flip

The former Alabama hammer got his crack as a starter and made the most of it.

The Lions’ running back merry-go-round continued in Week 11 with Bo Scarbrough getting the ride. Nick Saban’s former underutilized workhorse made a splash by gaining 55 yards and finding the end zone on 14 carries. The 6-foot-1, 228 lb animal carried Cowboys’ defenders all afternoon long and flashed his beastly attributes that he displayed at times at Alabama. Scarbrough out-snapped the pedestrian TY Johnson and JD McKissic, and he could be the answer that Matt Patricia and Darrell Bevell have been looking for since Kerryon Johnson was put on the shelf.

Who the hell knows what those two coaches will do from here on out, but the Lions get the pathetic Redskins in Week 12, meaning Bo could have another big day. Only owned in 2 percent of leagues (higher than expected), if you have space at the end of your bench, it wouldn’t hurt to add the bruising running back.

Following a date in DC, the Stafford’less Lions get the Bears, Vikings, Bucs, and Broncos to wrap up the season. If it’s Driskel SZN for the rest of the way, they might ride the former five star prospect until his wheels fall off.

Bo could be useful, or he could land back on the wire in two weeks. Who the hell knows.
