Devin Singletary Takes Over Bills’ Lead Back Duties, Quality Fantasy RB2 Moving Forward

It's finally time for old man Frank Gore to hand over the reigns to a younger, more talented running back.

Devin Singletary finally flashed his true fantasy ceiling in a breakout Week 9 performance. Steamrolling the Redskins, Singletary racked up 23 touches (3 rec), 140 total yards, and 1 score (23 PPR FPs). Even better, Frank Gore was abysmal, racking up a beefy 15 yards on his 11 weak-ass carries. If Sunday was any indication, this is Singletary’s backfield now. Between the usage, talent, and a complete cakewalk schedule, Singletary should be considered a high-end fantasy RB2 moving forward.

Entering Sunday, Singletary had been quietly solid. He had posted 11 or more FPs in three of four games, consistently flashing his agility and tackle-breaking prowess. Yet, he’d seen a grand total of 20 carries (4, 6, 7, 3) across these four contests.

In Week 10 alone, Singletary hit the 20 Carey threshold. Whereas Gore had been the clear top-dog, Singletary took the reigns emphatically. Perhaps most importantly, Gore was stuffed on three straight GL looks from the one. Later, the Bills gave their rookie a shot, and he converted.

Though Gore won’t vanish (until he’s 100 years old), this is Singletary’s Show. He is up to our RB25 on our most recent ROS Big Board.
