Tyreek Hill Fights off Fantasy Karma, Dominates Defenders Immediately

Tyreek Hill made his fantasy presence felt right away in his return to action.

Tyreek Hill, known scumbag, is very good at his profession. We don’t condone his off-field antics, but it’s tough to not watch in amazement at what the little man does on the football field. In his first action since doing something to his clavicle, he made the catch of the year when he jumped about 50 inches over two defenders, high pointed the ball, and dragged multiple defenders into the end zone. Tyreek corralled 5 receptions for 80 yards and two touchdowns on 10 targets — a modest 22.50 half PPR points in his return.

Hill did not lose a step during his four week absence and it showed right away. It’s clear Pat Mahomes is hobbled with an ankle injury, and Hill’s speed could be the medicine that Mahomes needs. However, they still treated Hill with kid gloves, giving him only 28 of the teams 55 snaps on the day.

For the cute Chiefs receivers, Demarcus Robinson looks like the odd man out, Mecole Hardman is trending towards a starting spot, and Byron Pringle is back to being an average tasting chip. If only we had some clarity in that crucial backfield.

It’s safe to say The Wolf has a little Hill in his pants, ranking him as his WR3 on his Rest of Season Big Board.
