Delanie Walker Looking Healthy, Fantasy Connection with Marcus Mariota Still In-Tact

With the middle tier of tight ends being a coin flip, don't sleep on ole reliable, Delanie Walker.

Delanie Walker suffered a gruesome ankle injury Week 1 last season.  At the age of 34, Walker’s career appeared to be at an end. However, Walker never considered that a reality.  After rehabbing and training hard during his absence, he obviously had plenty left in the tank. The Titans didn’t add a tight end in the draft and he made his debut on Saturday night against the Patriots. In that game, he looked like vintage Delanie Walker by snagging two balls for 26 yards and a score.

As Mariota’s safety valve, Walker holds immense fantasy value and is flying completely under the radar.  Through his four years with Mariota, Walker has never recorded less than 800 yards and 64 receptions. His absence from the offense last season could not have been more clear.  The Titans struggled all season to consistently move the ball and sustain drives.

On Saturday night, he looked like the same tight end that has recorded the most receptions during his last five full seasons with the Titans. Walker is going undrafted in some leagues, but with an ADP of 11.07, he is a screaming value with a safe weekly floor.  At 100 overall, we are 19 spots over his ECR and that still may not be high enough at the end of the season.
