Zach Ertz Dominates Cowboys, Claims 2018 Fantasy TE1 Status
- Updated: November 13, 2018

Zach Ertz caught 14-of-16 targets for 145 yards and two touchdowns in Week 10 against the Cowboys.
It was the best game of a dominant season for Ertz. The Cowboys left Ertz wide open down the seam for a 15-yard touchdown in the third quarter for his first touchdown, and he scored his second TD on a goal-line throw from Carson Wentz. Ertz has been one of the most consistent tight ends in the league with 70 yards or a touchdown in 8-of-9 games. He’ll be a top-five play for a matchup with the Saints in Week 11.
All Pro tight end Zach Ertz has been dominating this year for Philadelphia as Carson Wentz’ top receiver in the offense. The three talented receivers the Eagles have are solid weapons for Wentz, but there’s nobody like his bread and butter and Ertz who continues to put up points week after week. He’s getting double digit targets nearly every week, has scored five touchdowns over his last five games and gets to play a Saints defense susceptible to the pass next week.
He’s such a difference maker for fantasy owners as there’s really nobody else besides sometimes Travis Kelce who can match him at the position right now. While owners are struggling over which free agent tight end to add based on a matchup or recent performance, there’s no better feeling than seeing Ertz comfortably plugged into your lineup knowing he’s Option A, B and maybe C in Philly’s passing dominant offense.
