Jarvis Landry Continues to Struggle, Fails to Capitalize on Plus-Matchup

The running game has dominated in Cleveland.

Jarvis Landry caught 2-of-5 targets for 22 yards in the Browns’ Week 10 win over the Falcons.

Baker Mayfield was on fire, but Landry ended up having his second-worst game of the season. Mayfield was spreading the ball around, finding nine different players for completions. The Browns were also riding their run game, rolling up 211 yards. Landry now has just eight grabs for 72 yards in two games since Freddie Kitchens took over as offensive coordinator. He will return from the Browns’ Week 11 bye as a mid-range WR2 against the Bengals’ burnable defense.

In what should have been a smash spot for Landry, he disappointed big time with his 2-22 receiving line. The Falcons defense has been terrible all year and seemed like the perfect opportunity for Landry to regain his WR1/WR2 stud role he looked poised to have early in the year. Instead, Mayfield spread the ball all over the field which is great in real life, but annoying for us fantasy players. He did say he was feeling dangerous that morning, well low and behold he went and killed Landry’s fantasy day.

The Browns have their bye this week, and have been focusing on the run more under the reigns of Freddy Kitchens. Landry’s stock has dropped noticeably, and if he can’t produce at a high level against the Bengals (who were just MURDERED by the Saints), then all might be lost. Say a prayer for Landry’s rest of season. Bless em.
