Injuries are a part of the game, but for fantasy football, they’re a major part of the game. One player gets hurt and your whole roster could crumble if you don’t have a backup plan. We’re here to update you on the most fantasy-relevant injuries and how their team plans to move forward.
After a variety of tests, #Steelers WR Antonio Brown has a partially torn calf muscle, source said. The hope is that he’s OK for the postseason. His regular season is over. No surgery needed.

UGHHHHHH. Another week, another major, major injury for fantasy football. One would expect that the majority of Antonio Brown owners were playing in their respective semi-finals yesterday, and they lost their star receiver when he was crunched in the end zone, resulting in a partially torn calf muscle. If you survived your matchup without Brown, congratulations. However, he is out for the remainder of the fantasy season and you’ll have to play your title game without your stud. Even though he can’t be replaced, The Wolf will be sure to give you some sort of a replacement plan on Tuesday.
Scary helmet to helmet moment as Thomas Davis laid a blind side hit on Davante Adams.

Thomas Davis was notably shaken up on the sidelines after his dirty helmet-to-helmet hit on Davante Adams, which knocked the receiver out for the remainder of the game. This was Adams’ second concussion of the season and with the Packers just about eliminated from the playoffs, it would surprise me if he played Week 16. If he fails to suit up next week, his absence should give Randall Cobb and the infuriating Jordy Nelson a boost.
Heading into the MRI, the #Patriots believe RB Rex Burkhead suffered a sprained knee, along with a bruise from a player landing on it. No torn ACL. The early hope is for a return for the playoffs.

After scoring yet another touchdown, Rex Burkhead was forced to leave when he suffered a knee injury. Luckily, Burkhead did not tear his ACL, but unfortunately he’s done for the remainder of the fantasy season. If you own Rex, you most likely have another option at RB2, but it still sucks.
Cold Tub:
- Marquise Lee was diagnosed with a right high ankle sprain and did not return. Some creature named Jaydon Mickens racked up 22 fantasy points in Lee’s absence.
- Jeremy Maclin injured his knee, returned for a play and then was shut down for the day. Mike Wallace was targeted 10 times with Maclin out of the game.
- The 49ers lost Aldrick Robinson to a concussion, but that didn’t stop Jimmy Garoppolo from leading his team to yet another victory.
