Former Carolina Panthers’ cornerback Josh Norman just doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut. We all know about his ongoing beef with New York Giants’ WR Odell Beckham Jr., but it looks like his new target is Denver Broncos’ WR Demaryius Thomas.
Norman took a shot at Thomas’ Super Bowl 50 performance in an ESPN article. Norman stated, “I don’t know what he was out there for. He was supposed to be an all-world guy, and I shut him down.”
Yes, Norman was around Thomas throughout the game, limiting the Broncos’ WR to 8 yards on one reception (Norman also committed a key holding penalty against Thomas late in the 4th Quarter), but the Panthers are not known to play solely man-to-man coverage.
Thomas responded by burning Norman via Twitter:
Norman shouldn’t have a comeback to that, but knowing him… He will.
