Daniel Williams Lone XFL Fantasy Bright Spot for Underwhelming Vipers Offense

Daniel Williams was the only player on the Vipers who showed up on Sunday.

CAN WE PUT SOME DAMN RESPEK ON DANIEL WILLIAMS’ NAME?!

The 6-foot-3, 200 lb wideout was the only player who showed up on Sunday for the Tampa Bay Vipers, hauling in six of nine (nice) targets for 123 yards. We aren’t big fact checkers, but those six grabs might have been Aaron Murray’s only completions of the day. The big-bodied wideout made some major splashes on the afternoon, gaining 42 and 37 yards on separate plays. Unfortunately, the offense just couldn’t capitalize on those big plays.

This explosion shouldn’t come as a surprise, as Williams had a solid pass-catching career at Jackson State, securing 184 receptions for 2,497 yards, and 19 touchdowns over the span of four years. He got a chance to have a few cups of coffee in the NFL on the Jets and Browns practice squads.

The XFL’s leading receiver will get the Seattle Dragons next week in what we hope is a major bounce back for Marc Trestman, Murray, and the rest of the Vipers’ offense. DraftKings has boosted Williams’ price up to a respectable $7,600, showing that they have way more respect for the player, unlike Google Images who almost forced me into using a cleat as the main stock watch photo.
