BattleHawks QB Jordan Ta’amu Might Actually be a Viable XFL Fantasy Option?

Most thought Jordan Ta’amu, the quarterback who didn’t do much with DK Metcalf and AJ Brown at his disposal at Ole Miss, would have been the St. Louis BattleHawks downfall. Instead, he put up a Week 1 performance that was only rivaled by the studly PJ Walker. Ta’amu completed 20-of-27 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown. The deal-threat also added an electric 77 yards on the ground on only nine carries in their upset win over the heavy favorite Dallas Renegades. After only one week, it looks like Ta’amu might be one of the better, more fun quarterbacks in the league.

With Christine Michael looking big and useless, the Ta’amu-Matt Jones combo looks to be one of the league’s most lethal ground attacks. Being able to catch the ball out of the backfield and sit in shotgun with Ta’amu will make it quite stressful for opposing defenses.

We didn’t have high expectations for Ta’amu, as he was our QB7 of the preseason. Expect a giant leap for the BattleHawks QB in our next set of XFL Rankings. DraftKings has also boosted Ta’amu up to $8,900 for their Week 2 matchup against the Roughnecks.
