RotoVegas | NFL Week 6 Fantasy Football Results and Breakdown

Hello everybody, and welcome to yet another installment of #RotoVegas. Week 6 was a hell of a ride, featuring a ton of things we’ve actually never seen before: SNF gave us the NFL’s first 43-40 score ever, and the Jags/Cowboys game earlier that day was the first time Jalen Ramsey stopped talking since he got drafted. And, as always, I hope you voted in our polls heading into the weekend.

The polls were up on our Twitter and Instagram Story, as they always are, so if you haven’t voted yet be sure to this week. We’re getting some solid numbers on these, but the more participation, the better — obviously.

1. When the Chiefs and Patriots square off on Sunday Night Football, it’ll be our QB1 Patrick Mahomes vs. our QB2 Tom Brady. Both defenses are susceptible to huge QB performances. The line is Mahomes -4; who you got?

Mahomes -4: 52%
Brady +4: 48%

Winner: Mahomes -4

Tom Brady may have gotten the win in this primetime matchup, but Patrick Mahomes got the better of him for fantasy owners. Mahomes certainly wasn’t perfect, adding 2 more INTs to his season total, but he also threw for over 350 yards and 4 TDs, giving him 27 points for the night. Brady almost matched his yardage total with 340, but threw just 1 TD on the night. Even after adding a rushing TD in the 2nd half, he finished with 21.8, just a couple points shy of covering this spread.

2. In what could be James Conner’s last week leading the Steelers backfield, he’s a 5-point favorite against Joe Mixon when their 2 teams face off. What’s your pick?

Conner -5: 29%
Mixon +5: 71%

Winner: Conner -5

With Le’Veon Bell rumored to be returning to Pittsburgh before they play again in Week 8, James Conner took full advantage of what could be his last start of 2018. He turned 19 carries into 111 yards and 2 scores, adding 18 yards on 4 receptions to finish with 28.9 PPR points, a top-5 showing of the week among RBs. Joe Mixon was solid as well, rushing for 64 yards and a TD and putting up similar receiving numbers, but fell short this week with just 18.4.

3. Mike Evans is our WR4 this week when the Bucs face the Falcons, and he’s a 4-point favorite over Davante Adams, who’ll face the 49ers. Who you got?

Evans -4: 60%
Adams +4: 40%

Winner: Adams +4

One would think that with Jameis Winston putting up the best QB numbers of the week, Mike Evans would’ve reaped the benefits. Well one would be wrong, as Evans was only targeted 5 times and finished with 4 catches for 58 yards, totaling a measly 9.8 points. Davante Adams, on the other hand, went OFF on Monday Night Football. Finishing 2nd to Tyreek Hill in WR production this week, he was targeted 16 times and finished with 10 receptions for 132 yards and 2 scores. This gave him 35.2 points on the night, which easily covers this one and puts the readers in a 2-1 hole.

4. Eric Ebron is shooting up our ROS Big Board, and he’s our TE4 this week, while our TE7 Trey Burton faces the Dolphins. The line is Ebron -3; who you got?

Ebron -3: 60%
Burton +3: 40%

Winner: Ebron -3

With both Jack Doyle and T.Y. Hilton missing time recently, Eric Ebron has stepped up in a big way for Indianapolis. This continued Sunday against the Jets with 4 catches for 71 yards and his 4th TD in his last 3 games. Even when Hilton and Doyle return, Ebron still figures to be a big part of Indy’s offense, as Andrew Luck seems to love throwing to him in the red zone. Trey Burton had a decent day himself, pulling in all 4 of his targets for 23 yards and a touchdown, but fell short of covering this one by less than 2 points. Close one, but the readers pull through to tie it heading into poll #5.

5. The Jaguars are our top option on D this week when they face the Cowboys, while the Rams are our #4 option in a matchup with the Broncos. With the Jags 3-point favorites, who are you taking?

Jags -3: 66%
Rams +3: 34%

Winner: Rams +3

Both of these defenses were top 5 options on our Big Board heading into the week, and neither put up top 5 10 15 performances. The Rams won outright with 3 points, however, because the Jags got pummeled by Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys to the tune of 40 points. Neither were great, but the Rams were the lesser of 2 evils here, covering and giving me the 3-2 victory on the week, which sets the season score at 19-11.

Be sure to vote each week on our Twitter account and Instagram Story, and check back after the games are over for the breakdown. If you enjoy it, tell your friends! Nothing would make me happier than getting this series big enough that I can take your money for real. And if you have any questions about real-life wagers or fantasy, hit me up on Twitter as well.
