James White’s Usage to Sky-Rocket While Sony Michel Recovers From Knee Injury

The Patriots dodged a serious bullet with Sony Michel.

Whew. The Patriots dodged a bullet when the MRI on Sony Michel’s knee came back with no structural damage after the rookie was corkscrewed into the ground. Most thought Michel’s season would be over, but it looks like he has some sort of knee sprain. In his absence, James White dominated to the tune of three scores. If you listened to the other sheep in the industry, you would have likely dealt White after his hot start. On the other hand, we decided to go all-in on the veteran running back, calling him a “rock-solid fantasy RB1… and not just in PPR.”

The Wolf has the former Badger as his RB10 on his updated Rest of Season Big Board, which shows the type of confidence that he has in the running back. With Michel likely out at least a week, if not more, the Patriots will look to add an in-between the tackles runner to spell White and former Oregon star, Kenjon Barner. Still, it’s tough to see them add anyone with any fantasy relevance while Michel is out. The Patriots have favorable matchups ahead, when they take on #BillsMafia, the Packers and the Titans before the bye week. If you listened and hung onto White, you’re welcome.
