The biggest news from yesterday’s slew of injuries was the injury of elite receiver AJ Green. Many believed Green would be done for the year with a hamstring tear, but Green has reportedly avoided a major injury. With Green only missing a few games, that’s great for owners’ playoff hopes. In the meantime though, waiver wire pickups Tyler Boyd  and Brandon LaFell see significant bumps in value.

More bad news from Bengals camp as running back Gio Bernard tore his ACL yesterday. Bernard had been a nice PPR option for owners and was heavily used in the passing game. With Bernard’s absence, Jeremy Hill becomes the full time starter. With major weapons on this offense suddenly gone, Hill provides the highest ceiling for the Bengals along with Tyler Eifert.

LeSean McCoy owners breathing another sigh of relief after the star running back managed to escape serious injury Sunday. He dislocated his thumb in the game and was forced to leave because the trainers and staff were unable to put his thumb back into it’s proper position (*shivers*). McCoy says he will play Week 12 though which is avoids a major scare for his owners. Mike Gillislee could be an addition to make just in case anything goes South.

Just when we thought we had something special here in Seattle, CJ Prosise goes ahead and gets injured, taking him out of fantasy relevancy. With Prosise’s departure, Thomas Rawls is back to his #1 role despite also being banged up. Rawls is alone in the backfield with Christine Michael’s release, so he offers high upside. This also means that Russell Wilson should start throwing the football a lot more.

Both Eagles running backs Darren Sproles and Ryan Mathews suffered injuries Sunday, forcing reserve Wendell Smallwood into action for the day. Smallwood will likely be a top waiver wire addition based on these injuries, but it doesn’t look like either suffered anything as serious as once reported. There’s a chance both could be available in the next game, so double check before spending a waiver spot on Smallwood.

Quick Hits:

  • Bears TE Zach Miller is OUT for the rest of the year with a broken foot
  • Robert Woods suffered a knee sprain yesterday that will likely keep him out a few weeks. Receiver in Buffalo is running real thin
  • With Woods sidelined, the Bills could get star receiver Sammy Watkins back next week
  • Falcons RB Tevin Coleman returned to practice today. He’ll be ready this coming week
  • QBs Josh McCown and Ryan Fitzpatrick will both return as starters in Week 12
