So it looks like yesterday’s concussion test did not turn out so well, as Jordan Reed will most likely be out this week due to a concussion. This would be the star tight end’s sixth concussion of his short career, which will be something to monitor in the future. If you own Reed and do not own a TE2, check out The Wolf’s Week 6 PPR tight end rankings that just came out today.

Dont’a Hightower crushed Cody Kessler — which resulted in a safety — and knocked him out of last week’s game with a rib injury. Luckily for the Browns, Kessler will be back on the field against Tennessee and he will be backed up by rookie Kevin Hogan. Kessler gives the offense a glimmer of fantasy hope, because all would have been lost if Hogan were to start his first NFL game on Sunday. Josh McCown (collarbone) was limited in practice on Wednesday and could be available shortly. McCown should boost Terrelle Pryor and Gary Barnidge‘s fantasy stock.

“The bye week came at a great time for New Orleans Saints receiver Willie Snead, who said he feels “close to 95 percent” healed from a toe injury.”

Mike Triplett, ESPN

It will be nice to have a healthy Willie Snead back for Drew Brees and the rest of the Saints offense. Without Snead, Brandin Cooks has been in a slump. The aerial attack should take advantage of a Carolina Panthers’ secondary that has the potential to be exposed. Feel comfortable sliding Snead into your WR3 or Flex spot and feel better if you own Brees, Cooks, Mike Thomas, etc.

Quick Hits

  • Jonathan Stewart will play on Sunday against the pathetic Saints defense
  • Rashad Jennings will start Week 6, so feel free to dump that thing called Orleans Darkwa
  • Cam Newton practiced in full on Thursday
  • Big Dick Decker will have shoulder surgery, which will lead to a 6-8 month recovery. I feel bad for Decker, as he’ll be on pain killers and getting beejs from Jesse James for the next 6-8 months
  • Arian Foster remained limited in practice but looks to play Week 6. #Avoid
  • Mike Wallace returned to practice on Thursday and would be a good spot-start with Steve Smith Sr. out on Sunday
