“All three are back, and David Johnson was so impressive that he’s expected to get the lion’s share of the work”

– Kyle Odegard, Arizonacardinals.com

One of our past reports mentioned the possibility of Chris Johnson winning the starting role over David Johnson. While we didn’t believe it, this report all but confirms that Johnson will be the go to guy in Bruce Arians’ offense. Johnson has been in discussion to be the top running selected in drafts this year, and this tidbit should remove all doubts over his workload this season.

“LeSean McCoy will sit out OTAs all week with a hamstring injury. Coach Rex Ryan said it’s “not serious,”

– Vic Carucci, Buffalo News

McCoy has had quite the history with hamstring injuries so here’s something to keep an eye on. When healthy, McCoy is explosive and a massive threat thanks to his PPR skills. Another year with Tyrod Taylor under center and in more control should make the offense more fluid and allow McCoy to rack up more consistent yardage.

“Less than a week removed from surgery, Browns Pro Bowl tight end Gary Barnidge talked confidently about returning to the field, which he expects to do sooner rather than later.”

– Andrew Gribble, Senior Writer – clevelandbrowns.com

This is good news for Gary “Big Game” Barnidge and fantasy owners alike. Barnidge’s breakout season last year brought him into the upper tier of tight end talent in a depleted Browns offense. With RGIII likely to be under center this year, one would think Barnidge would be targeted early and often, providing solid fantasy output.

“Silver told Dan Hellie on Tuesday’s edition of NFL Network’s NFL Total Access that Kaepernick is “allegedly in competition” for the starting job while labeling Blaine Gabbert as the “heavy favorite” for the No. 1 role. “He’s loved in this locker room,” Silver said of Gabbert. “He did a lot of good things last year and I’d be shocked if he’s not the starter in the opener.”

– Dan Hanzus, Nfl.com

Some interesting news here as it appears Blaine Gabbert is likely to start the season as the 49ers’ quarterback. Whatever was left in Colin Kaepernick’s fantasy value has all but diminished to zero as losing your job to Blaine Gabbert is a pretty awful look. Kaepernick used to be a bonafide star utilizing his rocket arm and crazy speed to rack up some serious points. It seems those days are well behind him at the moment.
